英语语音语调的正误、优劣日益成为口语交际的焦点,也与英语口语的流利程度休戚相关。英语语音学日显其重要性。本书初版以来,以其道理讲解简明、技能得以强化为特色,赢得广大师生的厚爱。本书历年重印,近年广泛用作高等师范院校教材,也用作非师范类院校教材,更被列为英语自学考试参考用书。本书是在1991年11月第一版《英语语音学》的基础上修订改编而成。修订后的本教材,以更为实用、更见实效的内在质量,为21世纪的英语教学效力。因为它:保持原有特色;随书供应由华东师范大学翁贤青教授和张晴讲师录音的练习题的盒式音带三盒,语音纯正,音质清晰,以资模仿;增设“正音要领”(Advice to Teacher and students);增加了习题量。
