作者简介

  刘重霄,1971年11月生,河北高阳人。博士,教授。1995年毕业于河北师范学院外语系,获得学士学位;1998年毕业于广西大学外国语学院,获得硕士学位;2009年开始在首都经济贸易大学工商管理学院攻读博士学位。自1998年进入首都经济贸易大学外语系工作以来,先后承担过公共英语的大学英语教学、英语专业的综合英语、听力、阅读、笔译和高级笔译等课程教学。

内容简介

2016年12月至2017年4月,作者作为访问学者在美国生活了四个月。在此期间,作者融入美国当地的社区,与美国的老师和学生有了深入的接触。对中美教育、文化有了更深入的体验和思考,得以创作出本书。作者创作本书,一个目的是对这段工作生活经历进行总结,另一个目的是希望能对对中美教育、文化传播做出自己的贡献。
