This report present a comprehensive review of the current status of the development of low-carbon model towns in China from aspects of the overview， concept， practices， and international cooperation， in the context of the low-carbon model town project of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation （APEC）First， we introduce the status of the growth of energy consumption， urbanization， addressing global climate change， and pilots of low-carbon model towns in China. Second， based on the specific national situation of China， we propose the basic concept and main approaches of the development of low-carbon model downs in China. Combined with typical cases of Chinese towns， we introduce the practices of the development of low-carbon model towns in China in detail. Finally， we review the progress of the international cooperation demonstrating the low-carbon model towns in China.
