《新思维英语》以教育部《中等职业学校英语大纲（试行）》为依据，以充分的市场调研为基础，以培养学生的实际应用能力为目标、难度适当，循序渐，是一套专供初中毕业起点的中、高等职业教育公共英语使用的教材。全套教材共四册配，配有教学用书和磁带，可供两学年使有。每册有八个单元和两套测试题，每单元包含四个板块：Learn to Say：围绕各类话题进行基本听说训练，提高学生的英语交际能力；Learn to Read：文章选材广泛，融知识性、哲理性和趣味性于一体，配有词汇和阅读练习；Learn to Use：语法以“够用”为度，表述通俗，易懂易学；Learn to Write：介绍常用实用文体写作，讲练结合，操作性强。
