《西方文化概述》是一本大学生通识教材,为中国大学生了解西方文化而编写。《西方文化概述》追溯了西方文化的源头:古希腊、古罗马文明,着重介绍了古希腊、古罗马神话,简要介绍了基督教的诞生和传播、中世纪文化、文艺复兴、宗教改革、启蒙运动、法国革命、浪漫主义、现实主义和自然主义等思潮,从而构成西方文化的总体概貌。
